Today we did a run through of my cast with songs and full scenes.
I have fallen extremely ill over the weekend and have lost my voice due to tonsillitis and a virus. So today I found it very hard to sing. Although I couldn't sing, I gave my acting part my all! and did try the singing without trying to strain my voice so that it doesn't get even more saw. In Lauren and my scene we got a little mixed up on staged. I also think because my vocals were not good enough, I felt Lauren was a little distracted by my performance, but we still carried on throughout the song as Lauren had changed her harmonies two days before we was due to perform. So when we perform 'It's a Kind of Magic' she through me off as I hadn't practised this with her as there wasn't any communication about this- as Lauren had been watching Elle and Charlottes performance of 'It's a Kind of Magic' and she liked what they had done with the song.
In this performance I tried to remind Lauren of the choreography and her lyrics as she had forgotten the lyrics and the movement within the piece, that we had organised in our previous rehearsal, as she did the same for me.
Rachel had informed me that she wasn't happy with our performance of the song 'It's a Kind of Magic'. I then took it upon myself and suggested to Lauren that we should go a practise our the song and choreography for it.
Today we also worked on entrances and exists for all of the scenes, and Kim and the team worked out the majority of the lighting and the cues for sounds which is brilliant. I also hadn't been practising with the sound track of the 'Don't Stop Me Now' and I didn't know if Charlotte had either, but after talking to the tech team and Rachel we all decided as a team that I would use the Soundtrack so that it wasn't too much work and confusion for the tech team.
My targets for tomorrow will be to run through my scenes with Lauren.
