WWRY Costumes

Production Role.
My production role for this play is to be a part of the costume team, and joining me is Millie. 
Me and I got together and started thinking about all the character in the show and looking up costume ideas and coming up with our own ideas for them. 


Ga Ga Kids-For these costumes we looked at Ga Ga Kids costumes online and we also looked at the WestEnd show of We Will Rock You and looked at what they were for the song Radio Ga Ga. 


This is the source material as to where we found and created out ideas from. 
We decided to ask Rachel if we could buy white vest tops for the girls and t-shirts for the boy to wear, and we would created a logo to go on them. 
This is our general idea for the gaga kids and how we would like them to look- 
Girls- white vest tops with GA GA print on it, with white shorts or skirts or trousers. We also like the idea of putting a pink bow in their hair, which is in a bun or a ponytail. Also white shoes, preferably white plimsolls and a gold belt. 
Boys- White T-shirt with GA GA print on it, with white shorts or trousers. As the girls are wearing a pink bow in their her, we had the idea of a pink dicky bow-tie too, white plimsolls and a gold belt too. 
My Target is to collect everyone's sizes for the white vest for next week, and find out what the budget is for costume. 
As the the shorts are rather skimpy and shorts, we suggested that the best idea was that the girls wore skin coloured tights.

Bohemians

Millie and I also did the same as we need for the Ga Ga Kids costume and look on the internet for ideas for the costumes. The picture above it the basic idea of what we like the bohemians to look like, but also only in clothes they feel comfortable in. 
These are a these ideas that we wrote down for the bohemian costume- 
  • Shoes for all either Converse, Doc Martens, Boots or Cowboy Boots 
  • Fish net tights- These can be used for wearing on your arms, over your body, on  you leg and also as a necklace. This can be use for all- both boys and girls. 
  • Tutus- All sorts of colours. Mix and match for Girls 
  • Bodies- Girls. These can be cut up, with slits in them. 
  • Waistcoats- Boys and Girls. These can be cut up also, with studs attached to them, to add a more rocky vibe.
  • Corsets- Any colours, Lacey, Studs on them. 
  • Denim Jackets- Boys and Girls- add studs. 
  • Leather Jackets- Girls and Boys- add studs
  • Leather Shorts - Girls- add studs, fray them at the bottom for a worn out effect.  
  • Denim Shorts- Girls- fray these also at the bottoms for a worn out effect. 
  • Jeans Shorts- Ripped and Raggedy for Boys
  • Leg-warmers- Girls 
  • Gloves- Boys and Girls can were these. Can also add studs to these, and rip them to make them raggedy. 
  • Ripped Vests- Any colour vests, ripped up, studs can be attached with fish net underneath them. For Boys and Girls.  
  • Shirts- Oversized shirts, with ripped in, worn down. 
These are some of the ideas I have put on our musical theatre facebook wall, to give the bohemians an idea of what they should wear. 
I have also shared links with them so that if they would like to buy anything I have sent them the links. 
This is a link I sent to them, regarding the corsets for the girls. As corsets are quite expensive, I search all over ebay and found these. They come in all different colours, so people wont have to wear the same ones, and also can be adapted easily with studs and accessories. 

My Target is also find out again what the budget can be so that I can figure out if I can accessories anybody costumes if they would like me too.
